In a workspace environment, sound and light can be considered a crucial catalyst capable of altering how we perceive our surroundings and experience the atmosphere within a space. The task was to design a luminaire that could address two distinct needs of users in workspaces, both acoustically and in terms of lighting. In terms of lighting, it will provide glare-free, dimmable, and controllable artificial lighting that can be turned on or off according to the user's presence or absence without any additional intervention, and can be dimmed/brightened by balancing and adapting to daylight levels. Thanks to separately controllable direct and indirect light distribution, users can choose which type to use to illuminate their spaces. Essentially avoiding unwanted reflections, separately switchable indirect lighting on reflective screens can be used for both ambient lighting and highlighted ceiling surfaces.
